2010 A to Z of netlabels series (02.08.2010)
Cast your mind back to mid-2009 and you may recall a series of Bleepshows showcasing a single netlabel per show, an hour of music from each label. There were 26 shows in total and it was an interesting excursion into some of the netlabels I previously only had little knowledge of.
The netlabels covered were:
- Ante-Rasa
- Budabeats
- Cold Room
- Deep In Dub
- Edensonic
- FOEM
- Groovecaffe
- Homework Records
- iD.EOLOGY
- Jisatsuken
- Kellerloch
- Lo-Kiwi
- -N
- Nulogic
- Offaudio
- Plex Records
- Qulture Production
- Rope Swing Cities
- Serein
- Test Tube
- Up It Up
- Vorbic
- Wazzotic
- Xynthetic
- Yuki Yaki
- Zardonic
It’s now 2010 and I want to do it all again, with a different set of netlabels, but following the A to Z format. This is your opportunity to influence the running order of shows in the coming weeks and months. I would like your ideas for labels to feature in the upcoming series. You can suggest any netlabel, active or otherwise, ideally with a back catalog immediately available for download.
I’ll use this as a placeholder while decisions are made:
- Bleepshow #474 = A = ?
- Bleepshow #475 = B = Blocsonic (‘Netbloc’ series) or Bumpfoot or Bypass
- Bleepshow #476 = C = ?
- Bleepshow #477 = D = ?
- Bleepshow #478 = E = Enough Records or ?
- Bleepshow #479 = F = ?
- Bleepshow #480 = G = ?
- Bleepshow #481 = H = Homework Russia or ?
- Bleepshow #482 = I = ?
- Bleepshow #483 = J = ?
- Bleepshow #484 = K = ?
- Bleepshow #485 = L = ?
- Bleepshow #486 = M = Mimi Records or ?
- Bleepshow #487 = N = ?
- Bleepshow #488 = O = ?
- Bleepshow #489 = P = PublicSpaces Lab or ?
- Bleepshow #490 = Q = ?
- Bleepshow #491 = R = Rec72 or ?
- Bleepshow #492 = S = ?
- Bleepshow #493 = T = Test Tube or 12Rec or ?
- Bleepshow #494 = U = ?
- Bleepshow #495 = V = ?
- Bleepshow #496 = W = ?
- Bleepshow #497 = X = ?
- Bleepshow #498 = Y = ?
- Bleepshow #499 = Z = ?
Ordinarily in this situation, suggestions that didn’t make it into the final list for the 2009 series would have first dibs for the 2010 series. Last time there were a number of excellent suggestions that were just pipped to the post by even more excellent suggestions. Unfortunately, when I moved the site to the new host, I lost a load of comments, so I only have a vague recollection of what was suggested (but not included) for the last run – so, it’s fair game for anything that wasn’t covered last time.
Leave me (and everyone else) a comment with your comments, netlabel suggestions and ideas. They are – as ever – welcomed. Let’s go!

Remember, Bleepshow is all about great electronic music – without it, there would be no show. Massive thanks go out to the labels and artists featured in Bleepshows past, present and future.
Bleepshow is not a solo effort. There are some people I’d like to thank for the ‘extra bits’ of the show:

- The opening title sequence was produced by Jean aka Document 02
- The closing title sequence was produced by Ben Hudgins of Machine Tribe Recordings
- The mp3 artwork was created by Danielle Nelson of hot glue media
- The iTunes directory artwork was created by Travis Nobles of hiddenplace music
